D-Link DSL-2730B Manual
The D-Link DSL-2730B Router supports WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup). WPS is a standard for easy and secure wireless network establishment. With WPS you can configure and secure your wireless network in just a few easy steps. The WPS button is located on the right side of the router. Press the button to activate the WPS feature. The light blinks when WPS is activated successfully. When the connection is established successfully between the router and the client, the blue light will be solid and will remain for five seconds. Once the light is off, the Router is ready to set up a new WPS connection. To use WPS router, you need to have WPS-compatible wireless clients. If you have 1 or more wireless clients without support WPS, is recommended to protect your network manually through the Setup Wizard.

This section will guide you through the installation process. The placement of the router is very important. Do not place the Router in an enclosed area such as a closet, Cabinet, or in the attic or garage. Read and understand all the prerequisites for the proper installation of your new router. Have on hand the information and equipment necessary before beginning installation. To establish a connection to the Internet you will need to provide information to the Router that will be stored in its memory. Your account (username and password) information is only required for some users. Others will require different parameters that control and define the connection to the Internet. You can print the following two pages and use the tables to list this information. In this way, you have a hard copy of all the information necessary to configure the router. If it is necessary to reset the device, you can easy access to all the necessary information.

Be sure to keep this information secure and private. Since ADSL and telephone services share the same copper wiring to carry their respective signals, a filtering mechanism may be necessary to avoid mutual interference. You can install a device of pass filter bass for each phone that shares the line with the ADSL line. These filters are easy to install passive devices that are connected to the ADSL device and/or telephone using a standard telephone cable. Ask your service provider for more information on the use of filters low with your installation. The DSL-2730B uses a web interface HTML-based configuration and management. You can access the Web Configuration Manager using any operating system capable of running software from the web browser, including Windows 98 SE, Windows ME, Windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows Vista.
